-BOXES...
We pefer that when you come to pick Berries, that you pick in Strawberry Boxes.
We usually have used boxes, to give away free of charge, if you don't have them. However, we do not always have these. We do however have new boxes, but unfortunatly we have to charge a small fee for these to cover costs. It's usually slightly over a dime a box and really only covers purchase price of
the box. We obsorb the tax and freight on each one we sell. We don't like to charge this fee, but we must cover cost as much as possible, as you who operate business of your own should understand. To avoid this, we encourge people to save your boxes and we also except old boxes that you may wish to pick up from around your basements, garages etc. You may bring them, drop them off to us and we'll pass them out to others who need them, free of charge !

-Be Mindful...
Be mindful of your surroundings.
Be careful when driving on the field roads, watch
for people, animals, and other peoples' belongings. It has been known to happen, someone places something at the edge of the road and field, only to have another person run it over! Usually someone's box of berries!

-Children...
Although we have no fault with children, we do
have an age limit on those who you wish to be in
the Berry Field! We can all agree that most younger children do not understand that they have to be careful where they step! We have set a random age of 8 years. Although we have been known to be flexible on that, in consideration of the child's behavior and or mannerism. We mean no disrespect on this, and apologize for your inconvenience.

-Picking In the Row...
Only to avoid confusion on the subject, we prefer that when you get to the field to pick your Berries, you pick half 'n' half. This means you go to the Isle and pick Half on the Right and Half on the Left . The person on either side will be doing the same. Avoid jumping rows, this causes aggravation with other pickers. We only wish that everyone has as a pleasant time as possible.
-Flags...
We started using Flags (Field Markers), last season.
They worked quite well. Everyone moved the flag
as asked, and as a result, Most had a wonderful Berry picking day.We will be using them again. Thanks!

-Parking...
For the most part, you are permited
to park where you can. However, keep in mind of a couple points; First, you should not park so close to the row that you step on the plants to get out of
your vehicle. Give yourself and others room to move. Second, you shouldn't park so that you are blocking a through way. Remember you are probably on a single lane, field road, others may need to get around you.
Third, Please try not to drive in the Strawberry Field
(it has happened!) Also please try to avoid the open
ground that is being worked for the next years crop.

-Filling Your Boxes...
Filling your boxes can sometimes be a head scratcher!
What is considered full? Well usually a little common sense will solve it. Be reasonable, if you can get enough off the top of your flat (12 boxes) or your
carrier (6 boxes) to fill 2 or more Extra Boxes, than you are probably too full. Rounded not over flowing, be fair, that's all.
-Well, I think that just about covers those, just a couple points we should all consider. If you have any questions or concerns on the subject of children or anything else on this site, feel free to contact us by phone, or the Contact Us option. We'd be happy to help with your concern.
